Deleting your account
العربيةA Rakan account exists only if you turned on sync. Deleting it removes everything the sync server keeps for it: your account and device keys, your encrypted list of households, and households only you belong to. Households shared with other people carry on for them. This cannot be undone.
In the app
- Mac: Rakan, Settings, Sync and devices, Turn Off Sync on This Mac, then Turn Off and Delete My Account.
- iPhone: More, Turn Off Sync, then Turn Off and Delete My Account.
- Android: the menu at the top right, Delete My Account, then Delete Account.
Your data on the device stays until you delete the app. The keys saved in your iCloud Keychain or Google account are removed as well.
Without the app
If you no longer have a device with Rakan, write to {{SUPPORT_EMAIL}} with the subject "Delete my account". Because the server holds no names or email addresses, we will ask you to install Rakan on any device and restore your account with your recovery key or saved keys, then delete it as above. We never ask for your recovery key.
